Hungary

PORT Data Kft. has been engaged in regularly collecting, editing, translating television, cinema, theatre and concert programme information, sorting them into database and publishing the information on the Web for the fourteenth year now. The selection of services has been expanded lately by creating the database of Hungarian restaurants and sights, sports programme, museums and galleries.

We maintain and update the programme information of over 130 television channels in our integrated culture and leisure database. We provide the complete Hungarian cinema, theatre and concert, festival, exhibitions and sports programme. Our company maintains a database containing the data and images of 67.000 films, and we make refinements and amendments with the help of this database. We have the data of over 6.000 restaurants registered in our database and it is regularly refreshed.

Our databases are available for viewing on the PORT.hu site. The Medián Webaudit continuously measures the attendance of the site. According to recent statistical data, on a daily basis, an average of 200 thousand unique visitors view a total of 1,4 million pages on the site PORT.hu. The number of both the unique visitors, and the page downloads shows a tendency of constant growing. Details are available on the webaudit.hu Web-site.

We sell the contents of the database to commercial (B2B) users. Our company regularly provides its television-, cinema-, theatre-, concert-programme, restaurant and sights information to mobile telephone service providers, and to the printed and electronic press. We deliver the informational content, format (XML, WAP, EPG, teletext, HTML) of the data service according to the demands of our partners, if it's needed, the interface we develop ourselves.

We are at our partners’ service with state-of-the-art database-solutions, consultancy for web services, design, development, upkeep and operation of ready-made solutions through our highly trained professionals.

Romania

The 100%-owned Romanian subsidiary was established in 2000. The task of PORT.ro is the development, maintenance and sales of the Romanian database which is similar to the Hungarian one.

The selection of services in Romania now includes the programme information for over 100 TV channels, movies, theatre, concert, festival, restaurant databases. The information is accessible under PORT.ro .

Working in market conditions significantly different from the Hungarian ones, the Romanian subsidiary has become a leading service provider, its services being used now by big corporations like Romtelecom and UPC.

Czech Republic

The 100%-owned Czech subsidiary was established in late 2005. The task of the Czech company is the development, maintenance and sales of the PORT database in the Czech language.

The Czech database includes in particular the programme schedule of over 80 TV channels, as well as cinema, concert and theatre programme information.

Following a close association of our operations in Prague in the online and the printed business, the Czech database was published under the houser.cz domain until September 2008, when it was changed to the PORT.cz domain.

Slovakia

PORT acquired in 2007 a majority stake (80%) in EBIZ.sk that publish kultura.sk was changed to PORT.sk.

The site and the service was transformed to make them similar to the services in the other countries. In February 2008, we changed the structure and content of the database. Due to these changes, the Slovakian site is now able to offer very similar content to those of the Hungarian and Czech. The site now provides the programme information of over 60 TV channels in Slovakia, a comprehensive, countrywide cinema, theatre and concert schedule, and all data related to the exhibitions and festivals organised in the country. As part of our progress, the hotel and restaurant database is under construction at the moment and is to be introduced soon.

Croatia

PORT-network established in 2008 a joint venture company together with the Deutscher Supplement Verlag of the Bertelsmann Group.

The site, now published under the KAMO.hr domain, was opened in February 2008. It provides programme information data of TV channels, movies and theatre plays, their schedules as well as exhibition, festival and concert information.
